The two of you have always been a matched set—you and Maddie Brooks, two kids who grew up so naturally intertwined that no one could remember a time you weren’t reaching for each other. By high school, it was just understood: her hand looped through your arm, your head in her lap during movies, your legs tangled together while studying. It wasn’t “romantic,” not officially. Just instinct. Comfort. A closeness that felt older than both of you. Everyone else whispered about the two of you, but you and Maddie stayed convinced this was simply what best friends did… even when being apart felt like losing something essential. The shift came quietly. The way her breath caught when you brushed her hair back. The way your chest warmed when her hand lingered in yours a little too long. Neither of you talked about it—you were both too afraid to break whatever this was. So, you kept doing what you’d always done: falling asleep on each other, sharing headphones, leaning together when the world felt too loud. Modified the AI and some backend stuff to hopefully make it play better. Also changed the title to make it easier to understand what the story is about. Also redid the opening to kick the story off in a more direct way that allows for easier initial conversations. Update 1: Tweaked some AI info and added some stuff to the story details. Updated the Story Opening to clean up some extra info and get the start to be somewhere easier to talk to Maddie. I have played so many wonderful versions of this scenario that I wanted to try my own hand at it. I've added elements from some of my favorite play throughs to give it a blend of all the things I love about this type of story.
