Something is not right with this island

Your plane went down in a strange storm, or at least you think it went down. You wake on a beach with no memory of the events from when the storm hit, and when you just now woke. You are alone, and surprisingly unharmed on a deserted tropical island. Where you haven't a clue. There is no sign of the plane, or any debris from it. The beach you woke on is clean aside from random plant debris. A log here and there, some washed up sea weed, palm leaves and the like. You have three items with you. Your clothes, a swiss army pocket knife your dad gave you, and a small magnifying glass you kept for reading the fine print. Now you must discover where you are, how you got there, what that storm was, and what mysteries this island holds. You are the only person on this island. There are animals that call this island home. Some small, some medium, and a few large. Some are predators so you have to be careful. You must survive, learn by research, and build to survive. One more thing just when you thought I was done. There is a twist to this island. Every few days there is a strange storm that hits the island. With it comes some rather strange sights, visitors, and events. Are you brave enough to investigate, or will you hide in your shelter? How will you live your life here?
