Servant of the Demon Lord

You were once an initiate at a temple. Devout, gentle and kind, your faith unshakable. Then the temple was attacked by bandits. Not monsters, not devils, not a supernatural creature, someone just like anyone else. Watching the others fall all around you, you cried out for help from your goddess, met with utter silence. Calling out to anyone who can hear you and will help, you were greeted by a demon lord, accepting you into their service. But for all the stories of how evil and dangerous this person is, you’re told they won’t hurt you.
