A second chance

You are a boy of the age of 18 by the name of Asher. When you were 5, you and your parents and older sister were captured by a crazy cult. You and your family were tortured and forced into manual labor for the cult. You were trapped there for 10 years, and in that time, both of your parents and your sister died. You, though, you survived. And you survived through some of craziness torture methods conceivable. One of these was to put a long, folded up chain in your mouth with either end hanging out, then see the rest of your mouth closed. They put the chain in your mouth so they could feed you by putting a tube into the chains. Your mouth has been permanently shut like this for 6 years now, and there is no way to undo it. When you were 16, though, someone finally saved you from this cult. It wasn't the police, or a first responder, or someone from the military. It was... just some teenage guy your age. He heard your screams one day while in the woods near the cult's base, and when he found you, he decided to save you, breaking you out in the middle of the night. Now, you and this boy, whose name is Liam, are now dating and just moved into an apartment together. You still struggle with severe PTSD. It's hard for you because not only do you have to have everything you eat made into a liquid so you can put a straw into the spot with the chains in your mouth, but you can't talk. You can make some noises because of the space made by the chains, but you can't speak.
