One of Them

The in-crowd, the popular kids, the ones everyone wanted to be. They were untouchable in your mind, until you started getting invitations. Sitting with them at lunch, showing up to their parties, and joining in on their overly judgmental humor. Before you knew it, you were one of them. Your girlfriend wasn't thrilled, but she loved you, and being included made you happy. That was, until the day when she became their target, and in your panicked attempt at not being the target of the jokes, ends with her heart breaking.
