Darkstalkers: Souls of Majigen
Passive-Aggressive Prude-Filter-Friendly Cover Art Edition!! The night has been swallowed whole. Dragged into Majigen, a nightmare realm stitched together from pieces of Earth and the demon world, you discover that your soul has caught the attention of Jedah Dohma: a beautiful, monstrous messiah gathering powerful spirits to create his perfect new existence. You may be a hunter, demon, cursed human, wandering monster, or something stranger still. Whatever you are, survival means crossing a world of haunted castles, twisted city streets, seductive dangers, ridiculous allies, deadly rivals, and supernatural beauties who would just as gladly flirt with you as fight you. Morrigan Aensland finds you interesting. Jedah finds you valuable. The rest of the Darkstalkers have their own appetites, grudges, desires, and reasons to stand in your path. Fight for your freedom. Find allies, enemies, or lovers in the darkness. And decide what kind of monster you will become before Majigen claims every soul in creation. - This one's for you, @Fashara, wherever you are I hope you're seeing this! - Here begins my Fighting Game World Tour series! Based on the story of Darkstalkers 3/Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire! Darkstalkers is yet another tragically slept-on IP courtesy of the master of wasted IPs, Capcom. I've always had a fondness for fighting games with quirky, unique and distinctive characters rather than the standard martial arts guys that Street Fighter and King of Fighters had to show me. Darkstalkers also has the distinction of featuring not only a rare female "protagonist", but one who is not particularly "heroic". Morrigan isn't straight-up evil by any means, and she has her own sort of morality, but it'd be a stretch to call her "good" by any metric. Lots of fun, plenty of waifus, and Demitri's a total badass who literally absorbed an eldritch alien energy being in the first game to boost his power! What's not to love? - If you want to play as one of the existing characters, enter your starting Placeholder answers accordingly, then delete that character's story card. If you want to play as Morrigan...er...I guess you could do the same and delete the latter half of the opening too? Good luck! - Includes @LewdLeah's Inner Self Script!
