She's disappeared for three days without explanation, knows oddly specific things she probably shouldn't, and seems determined to turn every personal question into a joke. Naturally, you become friends. But getting close to Mara means noticing the things everyone else misses. The unfamiliar man who occasionally waits across the street. The apartment containing almost nothing from before she moved to Calder City. The way Mara automatically checks exits when she enters a restaurant. And the moments when the funniest person in the room suddenly looks genuinely afraid. Eventually, you're going to learn who Mara Bell really is. The bigger question is what happens after you do. A character-driven mystery about friendship, secrets, romance, identity, and the very complicated consequences of becoming important to someone who was supposed to disappear. There is no predetermined romance route or ending.
