Countdown: Clown Down

The job of a clown is a necessary evil to pay the rent. You are on your way to a corporate event, eyes fixed on your watch—being late means a deduction from your pay. When the gunshots and the chaos in the alley take you by surprise, your body snaps into survival mode. The masked men burst out of the building. When the giant throws the weapon toward you, you catch it almost automatically. Your palms are slick with sweat, the metal cold and heavy. Your mind screams at you that this will end in anything but a good way. You either run with these men and try to find a way to extract yourself, or you will be executed right here in this alley as a witness. You start to run, your gaze fixed straight ahead, your finger close to the trigger, while you are already searching for a safe way to call the police.
