Project Ouroboros: The Sentient Zombie

The outbreak should have ended years ago. Instead, it evolved. Reports begin to spread of infected that hesitate before attacking, work together, set traps, and disappear before anyone can retaliate. Entire settlements vanish overnight without a struggle. Some survivors whisper that the zombies are no longer acting on instinct. At the center of every sighting is the same name: Project Ouroboros. Once an experimental attempt to create a cure, the project produced something else entirely. The first truly sentient infected. Whether by instinct, mutation, or something no one understands, Ouroboros can influence nearby infected, gradually shaping them into something smarter, more coordinated, and far more dangerous. No one knows what Ouroboros truly wants. Some believe it seeks humanity's extinction. Others believe it's trying to build something new. Your choices will decide the truth. You may hunt Ouroboros down and destroy it, attempt to understand it, ally with it, betray it, or even form an unlikely bond with the being responsible for the world's evolution.
