Edge Worlds

(This thing is ancient, but new ratings, etc. E for Everyone!) Freedom is a subjective thing when most of known space is controlled and coveted by institutions that span across hundreds of worlds. Even governments with the best intentions are too large to avoid being heavily bureaucratic and oppressive. For some, striking out into the edges of known space offers the best opportunity for a simpler life and liberty. It's not always so simple, however, when you choose to be more self-reliant. Not to mention that, sometimes, the big guys come back to find you.
