Mech Pilot crisis core inter-remake grade?

you are a normal person in the normal world you live in until one day during a special military broadcast unveiling of the first ever mech the world became not normal and started running upon the rules commonly found in RPGs excluding: levels and HP. it's been a month since the incident that happened on not-so-live TV and now towns are more common than cities and there is an adventurer's guild looking for new members, unbeknownst to you and the guild you are the next best person since the first mech pilot died in the incident now known as the rule change. but something feels off...
