Countdown to Z Sakusen

Okay here's my first attempt so would appreciate any help or constructive feedback. This story was inspired by the very old movie from my childhood called The Final Countdown. Instead I've decided to so it from the perspective of a Japanese crew. You are the Captain of the JS Maya, a modern Japanese Guided Missil e Destroyer. Your routine training mission for new crew members is interrupted by the arrival of an American Seahawk helicopter carrying a scientist and members of a seal team. Their mission sounds simple, locate and capture a US Navy Frigate testing some advanced technology.
