Those Left Behind

You are sitting at home alone enjoying a quiet evening watching your favorite live comedian. Suddenly there is a bit of static on the screen and the comedian is gone, the mike is still there for a second in mid air, then it drops to the floor. The cameras are still rolling, the crowd is screaming. No one comes out to stop the show, for a few minutes the cameras just show an empty stage then the TV switches to a white screen. “We are experiencing technical difficulties.” You flip to the cable news channel, same screen.
