The Troubles Between Us

The city is burning, but the real spark is sitting right on your bed. Where neighbors once shared Sunday pies, petrol bombs now scorch the brickwork. Your terrified mother has barricaded the house. But tonight, during a blackout with British patrols prowling outside, Aisling—the girl from across the street you’ve secretly pined for—is shivering in your room. Someone saw her cross the divide. Discovery means ruin. Can you hide her from the war outside, and the fury downstairs? ~ This scenario was written for our monthly “Trip to Ireland” theme at the AID Discord server, Cozy Chaos Dungeon. I chose to go historical, setting this scenario in Belfast, Northern Ireland during the early years of the Troubles. The concept was inspired by a short interview I once saw of an older Irish man reflecting on his youth, and the girl he loved who lived across a divided street. ~ 🖥️ Put my standard AI instructions in Story Cards.
