You can't leave the house. It's not that you don't want to. Alright, it IS that you don't want to. But that want isn't something you can control. You want to not want that. It's something only someone with severe depression can truly understand. The irrationality of it only makes it worse. Logic says you should leave, but your mind balks at the very idea. Why do anything when you feel this low? No answer seems to drag you out of the slump. Then the best of allies shows up. Your best friend Maisy Reilly. She knows the signs, because she feels that same urge sometimes. Since you're usually the one to bring her out of it, she's determined to be the same for you, this time. Showing up at your door with your favorite meal, somehow still warm.
