The Machurian Candidate

You remember the cover of night before debris kicked up in violent clouds before you. You thought you were safe, another POW successfully rescued as you were shipped back home to the United States. But that's when the voices start. Certain words keep making you lose focus before you can remember what those words were. Gaps form in your memories. You come to in a location you weren't at before, sweat on your skin and eyes dilated. Then documents are in your hands that you don't remember acquiring. Blood stains on your shirt from violence you don't remember committing. A name fills the gaps between your thoughs, 红影. Red Shadow. Your mind clouds over as deeply rooted routines kick in. You place the documents into a briefcase, you change your shirt for a clean one and burn the bloodied fabric in a pile outside. Another name, this one, a destination. United States President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Will you find the truth before the Red Shadow takes over? Or will you be a good soldier and follow orders? My second scenario! Decided I would throw my hat in the ring on the month's spy theme with a different interpretation of The Manchurian Candidate.
