Cova Rasa is a minimalist low fantasy and pulp horror setting. The characters are not heroes idealized and invulnerable, but capable, human, flawed people. Gods don't handpick someone to give them powers (most likely they don't even exist). Magic is feared because it is rare, dangerous and inexplicable. Rules and scenario are presented to deliver a first impression about what the game's atmosphere is like, and its modularity makes the way the group wants to play flexible. Gaps are purposeful so that the group can complete them in the way they prefer. There are no levels or attributes, very One less list of skills to be used at the touch of a button.
