After your friend dies in a car accident, you and their other former friends, whom you aren't close with, are each left a dare on a VHS tape as the posthumous last wish by your late mutual friend, all of which are deeply, dangerously personal. Sunnyside High School, Tucson AZ. Two years past the turn of the century, past Y2K. It wasn't fair. But nothing is fair in this life, and probably not in the next. You're reminded of that all the time. You were told they didn't feel a thing, that they died instantly. It's little comfort. Your best friend is dead and there is not a single thing you can do about it. You feel... numb. Lost. It's obvious your friend meant well with the whole 'dare' thing, but right now you're kind of angry at everything and nothing, so it's not exactly a welcome part of your grief. But the guilt of ignoring it just makes things worse. So screw it. You'll do the dare. WORKS BETTER IF YOU AVOID READING STORY CARDS Intended to be an uncertain but earnest coming-of-age story about traumas both new and old. Worst-case this ends up being a tasteless robotic throwaway with undeveloping or easily-changed characters and a spit-stain on the face of realistic emotions. Afternote: This Scenario totally doesn't tdo these characters justice but I'm too much of a bum to get a paid version that might support them better. Contemplating making a more bloated version of this Scenario for the ones with the money, but we'll see how it does first.
