SceneTracker ๐ฌ
Keep your scenes consistent! Everybody and their mother already knows that object permanence is a big problem with GenAI, and AIDungeon is no different, with many efforts (both by the platform and its creators) to curb it somewhat. However, object permanence is an even bigger issue in Slice of Life and Slow Pace adventures in general, where you more often than not spend several actions within a single location and timeframe. Go on long enough, and the AI may jump from morning to night to afternoon, forget what you're wearing, or that it's supposed to be raining outside. Some creators, myself included, have tried to work around this by including a "Scene:" field in the Author's Note, but having to manually edit it every time is a chore. For that reason, I created SceneTracker, a script that automatically updates a pinned "Scene" Story Card whenever certain commands are used. You can set your current scene using the following commands, through a story action: - โ /time_[1-4] โ Sets the time period. 1 is morning, 2 is afternoon, 3 is evening, and 4 is night. - ๐ป /season_[1-4] โ Sets the season. 1 is spring, 2 is summer, 3 is autumn, and 4 is winter. - โ /weather_[1-8] โ Sets the weather. 1 is Clear Sky, 2 is Cloudy, 3 is Rainy, 4 is Windy, 5 is Stormy, 6 is Snowy, 7 is Foggy, and 8 is Hailing. - ๐ฒ /time_? - Randomizes the current time period. - ๐ฒ /season_? - Randomizes the current season. - ๐ฒ /weather_? - Randomizes the current weather. Hailing is excluded, Snowy is excluded only if it's Summer. - ๐ /locale [Place Name] โ Sets the current location. - ๐ /wear [Clothing Description] โ Sets the main character's ("you") clothing. - ๐ /strip โ Sets the main character's ("you") clothing to "no clothes." - ๐ /dress_up [NPC Name] [Clothing Description] โ Sets an NPC's clothing. - ๐ /undress [NPC Name] โ Sets an NPC's clothing to "no clothes." - ๐ /save outfit_[1-5] [Outfit Description] - Saves a main character outfit description in a specified slot (1 to 5). - ๐ /wear outfit_[1-5] - Dresses the main character in the outfit saved in the specified slot (1 to 5). - ๐ /check outfit_[1-5] - Checks the outfit description saved in the specified slot (1 to 5). You can also clear individual fields from your "Scene" Story Card: - ๐งน /clear_time โ Clears the "Time" field in the Scene Story Card. - ๐งน /clear_season โ Clears the "Season" field in the Scene Story Card. - ๐งน /clear_weather โ Clears the "Weather" field in the Scene Story Card. - ๐งน /clear_locale โ Clears the "Location" field in the Scene Story Card. - ๐งน /clear_player โ Clears the "Your Outfit" field in the Scene Story Card. - ๐งน /clear_npc โ Clears the "Others' Outfits" field in the Scene Story Card. - ๐งน /cls_scene โ Clears ALL the fields in the Scene Story Card. SceneTracker is still experimental, any feedback on it is more than welcome!
