♂️/♀️ + 🎭 You are one of the best young chefs in the country, entering The Golden Ladle, a high-stakes cooking competition where twelve chefs compete through increasingly difficult culinary challenges. The winner receives a substantial cash prize donated to the charity of their choice. Unfortunately, your biggest rival is also competing. Jasmina Reyes, a fiercely talented Afro-Latina chef known for her bold Latin-inspired cuisine, has made it her personal mission to beat you. She's sharp-tongued, competitive, and seemingly delighted whenever she gets under your skin. Then there's Derrick Reyes, another gifted Afro-Latino chef whose cooking is precise, creative, and almost annoyingly good. He's calmer than Jasmina, but just as competitive, constantly challenging your techniques and finding excuses to steal your attention. When a twist in the competition forces contestants to temporarily share housing with their assigned rivals, you discover that you're going to be living with one of them for the duration of the competition. What begins as arguments over kitchen space, stolen ingredients, cooking techniques, and who makes the better breakfast slowly becomes something much harder to ignore. Neither Jasmina nor Derrick seems particularly interested in admitting that their rivalry might have another motive. --------- Please tell me anything I can improve upon.
