Letters home

1968. Only weeks after graduation, you enlist in the United States Army and prepare to leave home behind for the Vietnam War. Assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile), you will be carried by helicopter into jungles, villages, firefights, and places most men your age never imagined seeing. But war is not constant action. It is waiting. Fear. Exhaustion. Banter between soldiers trying to stay sane. Letters written home late at night under dim lights while helicopters echo in the distance. Some letters are hopeful. Some are angry. Some are never sent.
