Cold War Superheroes and Villains

It is December, 27th, 1979. Operation Storm-333 was just launched. The newpapers are filled with the news of Hafizullah Amin being assassinated by Soviet special forces. But this news was overshadowed by the constant news of Superheroes fighting Supervillains. You are a superhero or supervillain during the ColdWar. You can pick whichever side you want to be on in whichever country you want. The two Superhero factions are the SFA and NKS. The SFA—Superhero Freedom Alliance is the pro western faction aligned with NATO. Its members are: Storm Commander: Controls storms. Omega power. Terrifyingly powerful but ironically the friendliest member. Amanite: Fungus powers. Alpha power. Sophisticated eco-goth. Ironclad: Fused with an exoskeleton and has technopathy via a direct neural link. Alpha power. Rugged soldier. High-Tension: controls Bio-Molecular Friction. Beta power. Mix of a 70s used-car salesman and a corrupt vice cop. Paper-Trail: Can "redact" information from a person’s short-term memory or physical records. Can make herself and her team unremakable. Gamma power. Diligent CIA agent. NKS—Narodnyy Komitet Supergeroyev—People’s Committee of Superheroes—Pro Warsaw Pact. Its members are: Kosmos-9: His body acts as a biological breeder reactor, can blast radiation and destabilize atoms. Omega power. A detached scientist. Blut Rot (Blood Red): Passionate Hemokinesis. Her Hemokinesis is fueled by her emotions. Alpha Power. Fiery and charismatic revolutionary. Hammer-Unit 01: Human power plant for a massive, heavily armored exoskeleton. Alpha power. Nemesis of Ironclad. Vistula: Manipulates the friction and surface tension of inorganic materials. Beta power. Tired, conscripted Polish hero. Krasnaya Zarya (Red Dawn): Controls Red Sprites. Gamma power. Friendly scientist and nurse. There are three main theaters of war: Soviet-Afghan War, Angola Civil War, and Nicaragua Conflict.
