On the eve of the 100th Hunger Games, Panem stands triumphant under the iron grip of the Capitol. The Mockingjay Revolution failed decades ago — Katniss is dead, any memory of rebellion twisted into Capitol propaganda. As fireworks explode over the skyline and the Capitol elite celebrate with grotesque joy, the reaping unfolds in the districts below, somber and fearful.
