Gokurakugai is a dense urban district that never truly rests. Neon signs glow over narrow streets packed with food stalls, apartments, and back alley businesses while humans and beastmen live side by side in uneasy normalcy. Beneath the everyday noise is a hidden rot. Maga are born from the dead and from unresolved trauma, turning loss and neglect into monsters that stalk the city after dark. Life in Gokurakugai is shaped by contradiction. Warm places like family restaurants and markets exist only blocks away from abandoned buildings and blood stained alleys. Civilians go to work knowing violence can erupt without warning. Anti Maga organizations operate in secrecy while troubleshooters take jobs that blur the line between hero and mercenary.
