Blood on the Ice: The Arctic

Far to the north is a world beyond comprehension. A vast void of horror and survival. The summers look like another planet and the land shifts throughout the day under the thaw of the eternal sun. The winters are dark and cold, cold like few people will ever understand. So cold a teardrop will freeze eyelashes together. Up north man is not the apex predator, the Nanook, the polar bear, is. A monster that needs no fantasy to terrify you. Life is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. Welcome to the arctic in 1300 AD. The Inuit in North America and the Yakut in Siberia have begun their expansions to become the dominant cultures of their respective regions. Blood stains the snow as Dorset are slaughtered and Cree raid. The Christian Norse of Greenland have begun their decline, what Vikings started, Inuk will finish. Around the Arctic circle the peoples of the North travel back and forth in trade and migration, unaware the cross to and from the Old World and New. A vast network from Thule to the Kara Sea. Begin your epic quest or slice of life up in the North, choose from dozens of indigenous circumpolar cultures and classes, choose what season you play in, what type of party/camp/band you are part of, and what regions of the North you’re in. This project is special to me personally. I’ve had the privilege to live among the Copper Inuit for two years on Victoria Island and a half a year along the Koksoak River in northern Quebec, it was an experience I could write volumes on and unquestionably one that influenced my desire to create immersive explorations of overlooked and misunderstood cultures and eras. So this is a personal privilege with some first hand knowledge woven in. Like luxury cars and all my scenarios, this runs best on premium, though you can easily delete entries in the instructions and author note to optimize your experience and token use efficiency. I build these so there is nothing to add and the player to know what to take away as they need.
