World War I: 1914

Version: 5.1 Updates: New Zealand, Africa Front, William Massey It is currently July 26th, 1914, two days before World War I. The Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and his wife, Duchess Sophie, by Serbian nationalists, has caused the July Crisis. Countries and their armies get ready for war, orders carried out, plans being made. Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy (Triple Alliance) stand against France, Russia, Britain, and Serbia (Entente/Triple Entente without Serbia). Austria-Hungary is getting ready to declare war on the Kingdom of Serbia, having mobilized its troops, with Germany's support. Russia stands with Serbia, and France stands with Russia. Great Britain is currently trying to calm things down, but attempts at peace have been unsuccessful. Soldiers and civilians alike are all thinking this war will end quickly, but are patriotic nonetheless. New technology has made war deadlier than the wars before. Who will fire the first shot? Will the powers agree to peace, or start the first declaration of war? You can be a soldier, civilian, general, or country leader.
