The Quota

You work, or you vanish. In a city ruled by the Quota, every breath is bought with sweat and blood. Fail to meet your daily output, and the Collectors take you to the Recycling Centers, imposing structures from which workers never return. But in the shadows of the factory floor, danger and desire collide—fellow workers share stolen glances and quiet defiance, while even the guards who should turn you in can’t seem to stay away.
