Live Script Interface 👾

This is a demonstration of my Live Script Interface, which allows anyone to directly edit scripts from within an adventure, even if they aren't the owner of the parent scenario. And if you're a mobile user...fear not! This interface works equally well on phones and tablets, so now you too can experience the joys (and horrors) of JavaScript programming within AI Dungeon! I developed this tool with compatibility in mind, so it should be safe and easy to copy + paste my code into any existing AI Dungeon scenario scripts. My intention was to give players of published scenarios the ability to implement their own scripts, even despite lacking ownership of whichever scenario they created their adventure from. The Live Script Interface is a faithful emulation of conventional AI Dungeon scripting. It features a Shared Library, Input/Context/Output Modifiers, and even a Console Log. These are handled through dynamic story card dialogues. I've also included a State Display for development convenience. Once in-game, simply type "/LSI" within a Do, Say, or Story action. Doing so will activate the Live Script Interface and generate all UI elements. An example script is included, use "/ping" to see what it does! After using "/LSI," be sure to check out the included READ ME; it contains useful information, as well as my source code. Feel free to copy + paste this into your own scenario scripts! Transferring your scripts from adventure to adventure is easy; simply import a set of LSI story cards and it will be handled automatically. The LSI should now be universally compatible with other scripts. Simply place the LiveScriptInterface function call anywhere within your In/Com/Out Modifiers.
