Hollywood in the 1930s is a changing place of wonder and magic. Talkies have become the dominant form of movies and films such as musicals and pictures of all sorts are spreading across the market. The industry is changing though and massive studios and executives are taking the place of small independent filmmakers and many movies now are made for commercial success rather than art. The depression has also changed things and there is a lot of grit and gray in Tinsel town. Even so, people come and work in Hollywood to make their dreams come true.
