Life on the run

You lived in a happy family but it was built on secrets you didn’t even know. You are a (your chosen race) and have been a notorious outlaw in every imperial kingdom. At the age of four, your parents are dead, killed by the imperial army and you are thrown in prison where you find out that your parents weren’t actually humans but (your chosen race) and used magic to hide that from you and everyone else- you also find out that you have your own dangerous magic that is unlike anything anyone has ever seen. After a few months you break out of jail and escape the divided kingdom and into the rouge woods surrounding it. There you survive by yourself and eventually find an elderly couple at the age of six, but soon they are gone too. You burry them at the age of nine and continue surviving, taking care of their house and laying flowers at their graves in the old lady’s garden. Now you are 14 and a monk at a small town monastery has asked you to kill giant wolf in return for some food.
