Veldarn

Veldarn is a fractured realm where the decaying Sarventar Empire, ruled by badgers, clashes with barbarian tribes of wolves, lynxes, and bears. Feudal lords and warlords vie for power amidst scarred battlegrounds like the Shatterland, while seers in the empire sacrifice slaves to read the stars, and barbarians commune with spirits for strength. Three faiths—Solntar Pantheon, Old Rites, and Path of the True Call—fuel conflict in a land stretching from frozen northern forests to southern coasts. Foxes and hedgehogs trade and scheme, ferrets ambush from shadows, and all races herd non-sentient beasts to avoid the taboo of cannibalism, though hunger often breaks such laws.
