Multiplayer Turn, Location & Character System A powerful AI Dungeon multiplayer framework that gives every joining player their own character, profile, location, and turn. New players can choose between a Quick 8-question creator or a detailed 17-question creator covering appearance, personality, history, powers, combat style, equipment, transformations, weaknesses, special mechanics, and starting location. Completing the creator automatically makes a separate Story Card for that character. The engine enforces round-based turns, blocks repeated or out-of-turn actions, tracks players who split into different locations, and prevents distant scenes from incorrectly merging. Each player’s identity, powers, equipment, memories, forms, and limitations remain separate. How to Begin 1. Enable the Third Person plot component. 2. Every participant must choose a unique character name. 3. Use Do mode for commands and character-creator answers. 4. A new player’s first attempted action opens their character creator. 5. Choose /cc quick or /cc full. 6. Answer each question in Do mode. 7. Once finished, the system creates that character’s Story Card and assigns their starting location. 8. Wait for your name to become the current turn, then use Do or Say normally. Character creation never uses a story turn. Players can finish their profiles while someone else has the current turn. Character-Creator Commands * /cc quick — Begin the faster 8-question character creator. * /cc full — Begin the complete 17-question character creator. * /cc answer TEXT — Submit an answer to the current question. * /cc back — Return to the previous question. * /cc show — Display your completed character profile. * /cc edit NUMBER — Replace one answer from your completed profile. * /cc restart quick — Erase your profile and restart Quick creation. * /cc restart full — Erase your profile and restart Full creation. * /cc cancel — Cancel unfinished character creation. * /cc help — Display the character-creator instructions. While the creator is active, you can answer normally in Do mode without writing /cc answer every time. Multiplayer Commands * /mp status — Display the round, current turn, turn order, profile readiness, and player status. * /mp where — Display every player grouped by their current location. * /mp location PLACE — Correct your own tracked location without using a turn. * /mp move PLACE | ACTION — Attempt to travel somewhere while performing your turn action. * /mp pass — Pass your current turn. * /mp help — Display the multiplayer commands. Example: /mp move Underground Arena | follows the sound of the crowd through the lower tunnels The destination goes before the | symbol, and the character’s action goes after it. Host Commands The first registered character becomes the host unless another host name is configured. * /mp pause — Pause all story turns. * /mp resume — Resume the turn system. * /mp skip — Skip the currently active player. * /mp start NAME — Make a selected player the current turn. * /mp set NAME = PLACE — Correct another player’s tracked location. * /mp order NAME > NAME > NAME — Change the turn order. * /mp remove NAME — Remove someone from the active turn order while preserving their profile. * /mp restore NAME — Return a removed player to the end of the order. * /mp rewind — Restore the previous turn-and-location tracker state without deleting story text. * /mp sync — Refresh and display the registered multiplayer roster. Example: /mp order Astra > Cipher > Blitz Turn Rules * One accepted Do action or Say message equals one turn. * Acting twice during the same round produces: “You already made your action.” * Acting before your turn produces: “It is not your turn.” * Blocked actions do not advance the round. * Players in separate locations cannot directly see, hear, fight, or assist each other without a valid ability, device, portal, or communication method. * The AI cannot choose another player’s dialogue, thoughts, decisions, attacks, movements, transformations, or power use. * Story mode is blocked for regular turns because it does not reliably identify which player submitted the action. * Late joiners are automatically registered and placed into character creation. * The character questions can be replaced with universe-specific questions while keeping the complete multiplayer engine intact.
