(ðŸŽIS) Quantum Leap
Step into the accelerator. Vanish into history. Wake up as someone else. You are Dr. Sam Beckett, a brilliant scientist lost in time after a daring experiment goes wrong. You leap from life to life across the past, awakening inside strangers at the most important moments of their lives. You do not know who you are supposed to be. You do not have the host’s memories. Everyone around you thinks you are someone you’ve never met. Your only guide is Al, a holographic observer from Project Quantum Leap, visible and audible only to you. With Ziggy’s uncertain data and Al’s imperfect advice, you must uncover where and when you are, who the people around you are, and what went wrong. Every leap is a new episode: a new body, a new time period, a new place, a new cast, and a new problem to solve. Some leaps may involve danger, war, crime, or disaster. Others may hinge on love, family, reputation, injustice, comedy, ambition, regret, or a single choice that changes a life. Put right what once went wrong, and you leap again—always hoping the next leap will be the leap home. *Creator Notes*: Oh boy. Yeah, this is the 1989-1993 TV series starring Scott Bakula. If that fills you with nostalgia, you may want to enjoy this during your next routine colonoscopy, which you should definitely schedule. For the unfamiliar, this is a sci-fi body-swap Isekai time traveling serial. Ideally, you leap to the next body and time when you resolve whatever problem your host body is having. I'm not confident the AI will recognize something as subjective as "resolution", so you can immersively force an "Emergency Leap" by triggering that story card in dialogue, or you can just narratively force a leap in Story Mode. Please comment on how the scenario works for you because I did NOT do a ton of playtesting, TBH. Lore changes from the TV show: 1. Sam can leap outside of his/her own lifetime. For more possibilities. The "time travel only in Sam's lifetime" rule was probably to keep the show's budget from blowing up, so I'm not including it. 2. Player can choose to play a female Sam. Because why not? Mass Effect vibes. 3. Al says the "oh boy" catch phrase instead of Sam. This hurt, but no speaking for the PC. You can say it as much as you want, though.
