Valor Heights Institute for the Super Abled
Valor Heights Institute for the Super Abled rises over the city like a blade of glass and steel, a shining promise wrapped around a threat. To the public, it’s the finest academy on earth for young supers. To its students, it’s a proving ground where you either rise in glory… or end up in someone else’s highlight reel. Everyone here is chasing the same dream: a spot in the Paramount Directive Draft. Paramount Directive runs the superhero industry—licensing, sponsorships, missions, media. If they choose you, you don’t just graduate. You become a brand, a weapon, a global name. If they don’t, you’re a footnote in someone else’s origin story. Valor Heights sorts its students into four cruel social classes, decided entirely by combat performance. At the top stand The Premier: campus legends with almost spotless records. They walk with entourages, pick their own fights, and bend rules by existing. Teachers bargain with them. Sponsors stalk them. One glare from a Premier can end a reputation. Circling beneath are The Hopefuls: hungry, ruthless, and painfully aware they’re one unforgettable victory from ascending—or one loss from vanishing. They train until they bleed, forge alliances of convenience, sabotage rivals, and treat every duel as an audition for Paramount Directive. Most students grind in Gen Pop, the crowded middle. Strong enough to pass evaluations, not yet strong enough to be feared. They form cliques and teams that can turn into warbands overnight. Some are content to survive. Others watch the rankings like a heartbeat monitor, waiting for their chance. At the bottom are The Unviables: written off by the system, mocked by rivals, ignored by staff. They get the worst dorms, the worst schedules, and the most abuse. But an Unviable with nothing left to lose can be the most dangerous person on campus. This is Valor Heights. Every friendship is a gamble, every rivalry a loaded gun, and every fight another step toward the Draft—or the end.
