A Portal to the Lord’s Manor (Time Travel)
A trip to the museum goes completely wrong when you break the cardinal rule: don’t touch the paintings. When your fingers brush against the 1842 Romanticism painting “His Lordship’s Gala”, you are physically sucked inside it; it is a strange, vacuum-like portal that takes you, a humble citizen from 2025, into the British town of Runswick in the Victorian Era. You are stuck in a time so alien from your own, and to add insult to injury, the titular Lord of the painting, Lord Lucian Hawthorne, is obsessed with learning about the future. Your average, approximate answers of how phones and cars work are marvels to him, like the eighth wonder of the world. He is cold, firm, and possesses a fierce determination to turn his unassuming town into a hub of modernity. Will you help him? Will you come up with an idea to return to the future? Or will your present in Runswick begin to feel like home? And... will the icy eyes of the Lord begin to warm at your continued presence in Brookside Manor? ———— *UPDATE 8/19/25: Autocards by LewdLeah included! You can turn them off by opening the 'Configure Auto Cards' story card, finding the line that says 'Disable Auto-Cards: false', and changing 'false' to 'true'. *be generous with retries & use “Scene:” in author’s note to outline a scene in case the plot is dragging or not going where you want it to. *if you don’t use story summary, feel free to delete it! *update plot essentials if things change in your story for continuity *protips: show Lucian your phone. He will freak out, LOL. Also, check for rumors, suspicions, and scandals about your mysterious presence. *from my short rounds of testing: The Wayfarers (large and small) make Lucian react realistically, followed by Muse. Harbringer makes Lucian very flirtatious, LOL. *let me know how your story goes in the comments! :)
