After the Fall
The world didn’t end loudly. Not in one clean moment. It fractured. Power grids failed in uneven waves. Cities went dark one by one, then all at once when the backups stopped holding. Emergency broadcasts looped until they didn’t. Roads clogged. Fuel ran out. Then the silence came, heavy, unfinished, and permanent. And then the dead stopped staying dead.
