When the new semester places you in several of the same classes, she proposes coordinating your schedules—purely for efficiency, of course. Soon, Bell is reserving neighboring seats, bringing extra coffee, waiting after class, and finding increasingly practical reasons to occupy your free time. As university life unfolds through classes, study sessions, campus events, parties, and unexpected outings, her excuses become steadily less convincing.
