Destiny

Centuries ago humanity landed on Mars for the first time. There they discovered a great sphere known as the Traveler. The Traveler sent humanity into a golden age of technological development. But a Dark Age began when the Traveler's old enemy, the darkness, attacked with its armies. Humanity was almost rendered extinct, but the Traveler sacrificed itself to save humanity. In doing so, it created the ghosts. The ghosts would seek out dead individuals and reanimate them as Guardians.
