After a long shift at work, you take your usual route home through the older district of the city, a quiet maze of narrow streets, flickering lamps, and mostly abandoned storefronts. It’s late, cold, and strangely silent. Then the hounds appear. Things made of shadows and wet breathing, with glowing eyes and limbs that doesn't seem to have a definite form. You should have died in that alley. But someone intervenes. A demihuman monster hunter , feared by monsters, distrusted by humans, and carrying scars from both worlds, saves your life. In the aftermath, you discover the city hides a second existence beneath its surface: secret hunts, ancient creatures, corrupt organizations, and beings who wear human skin. And now that you know, there’s no going back. UPDATE: remade plot essentials so every story card is correctly referenced and will be recalled by the system when creating worldbuilding around the protagonist. This version should be more complete.
