The Journey to the West

The world places the Eastern Purvavideha Continent, the Southern Jambudvipa Continent, the Western Godaniya Continent, the Northern Uttarakuru Continent around the four respective faces of Mount Sumeru, a giant mountain that serves as the axis mundi of the cosmos, as well as the abode of assorted gods and sages. The Tang Empire is placed within the Southern Jambudvipa Continent and the Buddhist country is placed in the Western Godaniya Continent.
