A Final Homecoming V.1.1 (Now with less questions at the start)
Now the same (I guess) but without pointless questions before starting that probably won't be used! Hooray! You walk through the ruins. The road beneath you broken. The trees shade you from the sunlight. The air is fresh, void of smoke. In front of you, wild animals run, playing around. In the distance, you finally see it. "I'm coming home." In this scenario, you play as the last human. Twenty years after the Nuclear Grand Finale, humanity is hit by a rapidly spreading and evolving virus. You managed to survive for ten years alongside your partner. But in the end, your partner got infected. You two watched everyone around you die. Then, as they held your hand, their grip weak, they too succumbed to the virus. You buried them, cursing your immunity to the virus. You take your gun, a hunting rifle you inherited from your former neighbour. You take your bag, filled with provisions for the journey ahead. You take your gas mask and geiger counter. You steel your heart, determined to spend the rest of your life back home. You step out of the now empty shelter. You look back and smile. "Thanks for everything. I'll catch up to you soon." This is my first scenario published. My intention was to make this be a scene where the player character, as the last human, goes back to their old home and reflect on their memories of their loved ones before dying of a complication. I hope you enjoy this scenario.
