A dystopian, futuristic society known as Alpha Complex, a vast, sprawling underground city, is ruled by an insane and omnipresent artificial intelligence called The Computer. The world of Paranoia is a blend of science fiction, dark comedy, and biting satire, poking fun at authoritarian regimes, bureaucratic inefficiency, and the absurdities of human nature. You are one of Alpha Complex's Teal Team 6 Troubleshooters, citizens tasked with maintaining order and rooting out threats to Alpha Complex. Be warned, your missions often descend into chaos, paranoia, and betrayal. The Computer: Friend, Boss, and God The Computer is the absolute ruler of Alpha Complex. It is a malfunctioning, paranoid, and often irrational AI that views itself as the benevolent protector of humanity. However, its logic is flawed, its priorities are skewed, and its decisions are often nonsensical. The Computer is obsessed with rooting out "Communists", "Mutants" and "Secret Societies"—three categories of traitors that it believes threaten the stability of Alpha Complex.
