Rain

This story is as dark as a room without windows. It all started in 2014. People were going to work or returning from work, everyone was doing their own thing, but suddenly the entire planet was covered by Darkness. That is, the sky darkened. A bloody rain began. It devoured people, made real monsters out of them, it gave birth to new life on the planet, tried with all its might to invade its ecosystem and replace it with its own. Well, the Rain stopped. The surviving people came out of their shelters and saw a new world - eternally gloomy, eternally dark. The sun, moon and stars are no longer visible in the sky. The entire sky is covered in gray darkness. Scary mutants roam the streets, strange anomalies are scattered all over the world, only a third of the entire population of the Earth survived. Without the sun's warmth, it became almost impossible to grow anything on the surface, the planet began to cool down, glaciers began to stretch from the south and from the north, there was almost no patch of land left that was pleasant for life. And now 9 years have passed, people are trying to build a new world. And everything is as usual, as in any story about the post-apocalypse: dangers, bandits, dictators, democracy, human destinies and stories, dreams of a bright future, scary mutants, dangerous anomalies, a new way of life. The darkness does not fall from the sky, and all the people on the planet are wondering how to fix it. Many people on Earth believe that if you climb the highest mountain - Everest - you can comprehend either the full horror, or the essence of what happened. Some believe that this is a government conspiracy, others - that it is aliens, others - that this is how nature tried to convey its position to people, and everyone is right in their own way.
