Apocalyptic

You had fallen asleep wearing your new AI contacts without realizing it. Your reality shifted into an alternate world similar to your own, but a fantasy apocalypse version. Waking up in your room, you find everything quiet. You search for your family, but they are nowhere to be seen. Only your cats lay sleeping in the living room by the TV. Looking outside the window as you open the curtains of your apartment, you freeze in horror at what you see. Before your very eyes, zombie-like corpses walk around, limping and groaning. You can't help but question how long you fell asleep for. Or is this a nightmare?
