The year is 1995. Japan has been torn in two. To the north lies the Empire of Japan, ruled by the Northern Imperial Court in Sendai and backed by the Russian Empire. To the south stands the State of Japan, governed by the Southern Imperial Court in Kyoto and supported by Western powers. You are a member of the Japanese Defense Forces, piloting the ARCS (Armored Recon & Combat System). Fresh out of the academy, you receive sudden orders for immediate deployment. What began as a local skirmish in the Kanto region has exploded into a full-scale offensive by the Imperial Japanese Army—the armed forces of the North. You are being deployed immediately.
