The Split Planet

You were exploring with your spaceship as see it. A planet completely split in two, the core visible, but still green. Still alive. You accidentally get to close and pulled into it's gravity just to crash on one of the half's. Which one did you land on as one half is inhabited only by men, and the other only by women.
