You gained the ability to speak into a person's mind! ----- You died, and woke up in another world, full of countless species including elves, humans, beastkin, and many more species, some you can't even guess what they are. You feel something against your leg, so you reach into your pocket and find something that shouldn't be there. Turns out, it's a magical pill that allows you to speak into people's minds directly. Not only that, but you realize you can change your voice to anything you'd want. The person's mind you choose to speak into will not know what is happening, will not know about the magical pill you took , and will not knowyou are responsible. Of course, it's just a voice, it doesn't force them to do anything, but maybe it could convince them, or you could pretend to be their conscious, or maybe even god.
