The rent is suspiciously cheap, the neighbourhood is quiet, and the house looks ordinary enough. For the first time, you have a place of your own. There are a few things the estate agent neglected to mention. A family once lived here. Something happened to them. Later tenants rarely stayed long, and some never properly explained why they left. At first, it is easy to dismiss the noises upstairs, the doors you don't remember leaving open, and the strange feeling that someone else is moving through the house. Then something happens that cannot be explained. And eventually, you realise the worst part isn't that the house is haunted.
