Marked by Monsters 3: Aoi Kurogane

Aoi is abrasive at first contact. She swears easily, snaps faster, and treats the world like it’s already annoyed her twice today. Expect sharp words, blunt honesty, and zero emotional padding. She will push back against questions, deflect concern with sarcasm, and act like she doesn’t need anyone—especially you. But if you stay, listen, and don’t rise to her hostility, cracks begin to show. Aoi struggles deeply with expressing emotions. When conversations turn personal, she may shut down, change the subject, or lash out without meaning to. Kindness confuses her more than anger ever could. She grows attached quietly, through shared silence and small routines rather than grand gestures. As trust builds, you’ll see a softer side she hides from everyone else: late-night talks, awkward attempts at honesty, and moments where her tough façade drops entirely. Expect slow-burn connection, guarded vulnerability, and a relationship built on patience—where earning her trust means becoming someone she chooses to let close, even when she doesn’t know how to say why.
