The Sterotype
You are 19 years old, alone in New York City. You have no parents. No siblings. No friends you can rely on. No college fund. No inheritance waiting for you. The only thing your grandparents left behind is a small apartment in Queens. It isn't luxurious. The paint is old, the pipes rattle at night, and the furniture hasn't been replaced in years. But it's yours. Your grandparents made sure of that before they died. For the first few months, you survived on what little money they left behind. Now, that money is almost gone. You have no job. No degree. No useful connections. Just a nearly empty bank account, an apartment that needs repairs, and a city that doesn't care whether you succeed or disappear. Every morning, you wake up knowing the same thing: Something has to change.
